FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers for restaurants, cafés and bars: table reservations on the floor plan with 4restaurants.net, a digital QR menu with recipes and food cost per portion, orders sent to the kitchen, ingredient stock levels, shift clock-in and clock-out, reports and HACCP logs, used alongside your own fiscal cash register.
Table reservations & floor plan
How do table reservations work with 4restaurants.net?
You draw the floor plan and place your tables on it. Each reservation is assigned to a table and a time, and the platform rejects overlapping bookings on the same table. The floor plan shows the tables with their status.
Can I split the floor plan into zones, such as dining room, terrace and bar?
Yes. Tables can be grouped into zones, for example dining room, terrace or bar, and each zone appears on the floor plan with its own tables.
How do booking confirmations reach guests?
By SMS, if your plan includes SMS, you switch it on in Settings and connect your own 4notify account; the platform sends no email. Otherwise you tell the guest yourself, for example by phone.
Digital menu, recipes & food cost
How does the QR code digital menu work?
You publish the digital menu and place the QR code on the table or on the menu holder. The guest scans the code and sees the list of dishes, and the menu is managed from the dashboard.
What does a recipe contain?
A recipe links each dish to its ingredients, with the quantity of each one for a batch and the number of portions the recipe makes. Each ingredient has its own usable yield, and from these the platform calculates the food cost of each portion.
Orders, stock, shifts & cash register
How does an order get from the table to the kitchen?
Dishes reach the kitchen only when the waiter sends the order from the order screen. Then they appear on the kitchen display of their station.
What can I track for stock?
The platform shows the stock levels of each ingredient.
How does the team clock in for shifts?
Team members clock in and out of their shift directly in the platform.
Is the platform connected to the cash register?
No. 4restaurants.net works alongside your own cash register, is not connected to it and does not issue a fiscal receipt: the platform gives you a non-fiscal table bill, and the fiscal receipt stays on your cash register.
Does the platform issue invoices for guests who need a company invoice?
No. You issue company invoices from your own invoicing system; the table bill in the platform is non-fiscal.
What reports can I see?
The platform generates reports per day, per dish and per waiter.
Integrations, features & setup
Does 4restaurants.net integrate with other systems?
It has no direct integration with the cash register. It is part of the 4b2b ecosystem: guest SMS go through your own 4notify account, and 4invoices is a separate product the platform does not connect to.
What features does the platform include?
Table reservations on a floor plan, a digital QR menu with sold-out marking, the 14 EU allergens, recipes with food cost per portion, orders sent to the kitchen with statuses, a kitchen display, ingredient stock, goods receipt, shift clock-in and clock-out, HACCP logs, and reports per day, per dish and per waiter.
How do I set the platform up from the start?
You draw the floor plan and upload the menu with its recipes. Setup is managed from the dashboard.
