FAQ
Questions about running 4restaurants.net in Canada
Answers for restaurants, cafés and bars: table reservations on a floor plan, a QR digital menu with recipes and food cost, table orders sent to the kitchen, ingredient stock levels, shift clock-in and sales reports.
Table reservations and the floor plan
How do table reservations work with 4restaurants.net?
You draw the floor plan and place your tables on it. Reservations are made and tracked on the floor plan, so you can see at a glance which tables are booked.
Can I split the floor plan into rooms, such as the dining room, terrace and bar?
Yes. Tables can be grouped by room, and each room shows its own tables on the same plan.
How do I confirm bookings with guests?
Confirm bookings by phone or email, as your team does now. On the Plus plan and above you can also switch on SMS confirmations and reminders through your own 4notify account; the application sends no email.
Digital menu, recipes and food cost
How does the QR code digital menu work?
You publish the digital menu and place the QR code on the table or on the menu holder. The guest scans the code and sees the list of dishes, and you manage the menu from the dashboard.
What does a recipe contain?
A recipe links each dish to its ingredients, with the portion weight of each one. From this, the application calculates the food cost of the portion.
Orders, stock, shifts and reports
How does an order get from the table to the kitchen?
An order entered in the application is sent to the kitchen, linked to its table.
What can I track for stock?
The application shows the stock level of each ingredient, counted against the recipes that use it.
How does the team clock in for shifts?
Team members clock in at the start of their shift directly in the application.
Does the application take payments or print receipts?
No. Payments and receipts stay with your payment terminal and point-of-sale process. The application records the orders and the reports.
Can I issue invoices to business guests?
The application does not issue invoices. Business guests who need an invoice are handled through your own invoicing process.
What reports can I see?
The application produces reports per day, per dish and per waiter.
Connections, features and setup

The features are inside this application: reservations, the digital menu and recipes, orders to the kitchen, stock, shift clock-in and reports. It does not connect to payment terminals, calendars, delivery apps or accounting software.
What features does the application include?
