Table bookings and the floor plan
How do table bookings work with 4restaurants.net?
You draw the floor plan and place your tables on it. Bookings are made and tracked on the floor plan, so you can see at a glance which tables are taken.
Can I split the floor plan into areas, such as the dining room, terrace and bar?
Yes. Tables can be grouped into areas, for example dining room, beer garden or bar, and each area appears on the floor plan with its own tables.
Can I see which tables are free at a given time?
Yes. The floor plan shows which tables are booked for each time slot, so you can see what is free before the rush.
QR digital menu, recipe cards and food cost
How does the QR code digital menu work?
You publish the digital menu and place the QR code on the table or on the menu holder. The guest scans the code and sees the dishes, and you update the menu from the dashboard.
What does a recipe card contain?
A recipe card links each dish to its ingredients, with the portion weight of each one. From it, the platform works out the food cost of the portion.
Orders, stock, shifts and reports
How does an order get from the table to the kitchen?
An order entered for a table is sent to the kitchen from the application, and it stays linked to that table.
What can I track for stock?
The platform shows the stock level of each ingredient, counted against the recipe cards that use it.
How does the team clock in for shifts?
Team members clock in at the start of their shift directly in the application.
Does it connect to my till or POS?
No. The platform does not connect to a till or POS system. Payment stays on the system you already use.
What reports can I see?
The platform produces reports per day, per dish and per waiter.
Can I see what each waiter sold?
Yes. The reports show sales per waiter, so you can compare what each member of the team sold during a service.
Working with other software, and set-up
Does it work with other software?
It works as one application for bookings, the menu, orders to the kitchen, stock, shifts and reports. It does not connect to a till, POS, accounting or invoicing software, so keep those in your own systems.
What features does the platform include?
Table bookings on a floor plan, a QR digital menu, recipe cards with portion weights and food cost, table orders sent to the kitchen, ingredient stock levels, shift clock-in, and reports per day, per dish and per waiter.
How do I set the platform up from the start?
You create your account, draw the floor plan and upload the menu with its recipe cards. Set-up is managed from the dashboard.
