FAQ
Questions US operators ask
Answers for US restaurants, cafés and bars: table bookings on a floor plan, a QR digital menu with recipe cards, orders sent to the kitchen, ingredient stock, shift time-tracking and sales reports, and what the application does not do.
Table bookings & floor plan
How do table bookings work in 4restaurants.net?
You draw the floor plan and place your tables on it. Bookings are made and tracked on the floor plan, so you see at a glance which tables are reserved.
Can I split the floor plan into rooms, such as dining room, terrace and bar?
Yes. Tables can be grouped into zones, for example dining room, terrace or bar, and each zone appears on the floor plan with its own tables.
Does the software confirm bookings with guests?
No. This product does not send guest texts or calendar invites. Confirm bookings by phone or in person, and keep the record on the floor plan.
Digital menu, recipe cards & cost per dish
How does the QR code digital menu work?
You publish the digital menu and place the QR code on the table or the menu holder. The guest scans it and sees the dishes, and you manage the menu from the dashboard.
What does a recipe card contain?
A recipe card links each dish to its ingredients, with the portion weight of each one. From it, the application calculates the food cost of the portion.
Orders, stock, shifts & reports
How do table orders get to the kitchen?
An order entered in the application at the table is sent to the kitchen.
What can I track for stock?
The application shows the stock level of each ingredient, kept with the recipe cards.
How does the team clock in for shifts?
Team members clock in at the start of their shift directly in the application.
Does it take payments or connect to a POS or cash register?
No. 4restaurants.net does not take card payments and does not connect to a POS or cash register. Settle checks through your existing setup.
Can I issue invoices to business guests?
No. The application does not issue invoices. Keep your current invoicing process, and ask your accountant how to handle company invoices.
What reports can I see?
The application generates reports per day, per dish and per server.
Features, setup & connections
Does 4restaurants.net connect to other software?
Not in this version. It does not sync with Google Calendar or Gmail, and it does not connect to POS, delivery or accounting software.
What features does the application include?
Table bookings on a floor plan, a QR digital menu, recipe cards with portion weights and food cost, table orders sent to the kitchen, ingredient stock levels, shift time-tracking, and sales reports per day, per dish and per server.
How do I set the application up from the start?
You create your account, draw the floor plan and upload the menu with its recipe cards. Setup is managed from the dashboard.
